One of the keys to personal growth is teachability. Teachability can be described as a willingness to learn and the humility to recognize you don't have it all figured out. Just a cursory study of the worlds great leaders and achievers will show that they were and are men and women who have the attitude of a continual learner.
The reality is, as soon as you think you've arrived you stop learning, growing, stretching your faith and trying to reach the next level of whatever it is you were created for. Founding father Benjamin Franklin said, "Be not afraid of growing too slowly, be afraid of standing still. Forget your mistakes, but remember what they taught you."
The past is the past, you can't change it and you certainly don't want to live in it. Someone once said, "The best time to plant a tree is 25 years ago, the second best time is now."
Now matter what you've done or where you've been, God has not given up on you. He still has a plan for your life. Maybe your regrets stretch back 25 years or 25 minutes, the best time to start a new life and a new direction is NOW.
If you will be teachable, you will be successful. Remain in a humble and willing attitude of learning throughout your life and you will make the rest of your life the best of your life.
