U.S. OPEN EXPERIENCE

Riley and I had the great opportunity to be at the US OPEN golf tournament on Saturday June 14. It's been one of my goals to experience The Open and it lived up to all I could have hoped. It was extra special because it's Father's Day weekend and Riley got to go with me. We've shared a lot of golf memories over the years and this one will rank right up there at the top.

We followed Phil Mickelson (Riley's favorite golfer) for several holes. We were on the first tee when Tiger teed off. We made it on national tv for NBC as I had Riley on my shoulders and the camera caught a very cool dad and son moment. This US OPEN is proving to be arguably the best of all time with a Monday playoff going on right now between Tiger Woods and the affable Rocco Mediate. Rocco had to qualify through various tournaments just to make it into the worlds best tournament. So, it's an amazing story, Cinderella Story...former greenskeeper about to become Open Champion...Caddyshack...

I would argue that the best tournement in the world is played in the UK and they call it The Open Championship.

  2. don’t be upset but The Open across the pond cannot compare to this year’s US OPEN…and I’m Irish and a Paddy fan.
